We are seeking a Boatyard Operative to join our team. The role involves maintenance tasks and vessel handling using a range of equipment. Good communication skills required for engaging with customers, staff, external contractors and suppliers in a professional manner. Delivering a variety of operations and services that include vessel movements: launching and lifting boats, storing boats ashore and relaunching as needed. Preparing boats for handover, pressure washing, antifouling and polishing to a very high standard. Maintain a clean and tidy workshop, marina and boatyard at all times including maintenance, grass cutting, cleaning and painting. Working on our quay dispensing fuel and completing toilet pump outs. The role will require completing outdoor work in all types of weather conditions across our 2 locations and occasional offsite work is required. Our aim is to exceed our customers expectations with the work completed to their vessel, the ideal person will have a positive attitude with the ability to turn out work to an excellent standard with a keen interest in the marine sector an advantage.

Days: Monday – Friday
Hours: 8.30am – 5.00pm
Key Responsibilities:
Attention to detail: Complete work to a high standard.
Maintenance skills: Maintain a clean and tidy boatyard, completing basic maintenance skills.
Operate machinery: Ability to follow instructions and operate machinery in a safe manner.
Customer Communication: Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact professional manner.
Collaboration: Work closely with all team members to ensure work is completed safely and within a timely manner.

- A genuine interest in the marine industry and a willingness to learn about boats.
Additional Requirements:
- Due to the location of the role, candidates will need their own transport.
- GCSE or equivalent (preferred).
- Must be eligible to work in the United Kingdom.
